Film Festival – by, for, and about Women

Chestnut Hill Hospital is proud to host LUNAFEST®, a film festival dedicated to promoting awareness about women's issues, highlighting women filmmakers, and bringing women together in their communities, at the Ambler Theater on Wednesday, April 3, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available online at Proceeds from LUNAFEST® benefit women in our local communities by providing free screening mammograms for those who qualify.

“In addition to supporting women in film, LUNAFEST®, is about supporting women’s health and wellbeing,” says Cathy Brzozowski, marketing and PR director, Chestnut Hill Hospital. “Through the hospital’s outreach, we’re raising funds and awareness for issues that ultimately impact our entire community. This year, one hundred percent of the proceeds from the event go back to enhancing women’s health right here in our neighborhood.” To find out if you qualify for a free screening mammogram call 215-248-8395.

This unique film festival highlights women as leaders in society, illustrated through nine short films by women filmmakers. The films range from animation to fictional drama, and cover topics such as women’s health, body image, relationships, cultural diversity and breaking barriers. Complimentary popcorn and small soda will be provided by Ambler Theater.
